Gabe Kastenmeier
Pitching
Gabe grew up in the Blaine area where he attended and played baseball at Totino-Grace High School. As a pitcher, he holds state legion records for lowest earned run average and most wins. After attending Totino-Grace, Gabe played two years of junior college baseball at Anoka Ramsey. He then went on to play at one of the top Division 1 NAIA programs in the country at the University of Jamestown, and also played amateur baseball for the Coon Rapids Red Birds. Gabe brings all of the baseball knowledge he learned through the college level to today’s young players. When it comes to pitching, Gabe’s innate ability to analyze the little details is unmatched, and his passion for baseball is unmistakable. Gabe focuses on developing pitch movement as well as velocity for every player that trains at Complete Athlete.

Mason Price
Pitching, Hitting & Mental Game
Mason grew up in the Coon Rapids/ Blaine area and played high school baseball at Spring Lake Park High School. He was a 3-year starter as a pitcher and position player, winning all-conference as a pitcher his senior year. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a focus on Sports Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Mason has been active in coaching and training baseball for years. He was a former coach for Minnesota Select, former trainer with Boyceball and is currently a coach for the Spring Lake Park legion baseball team. He has knowledge in all areas of the game but primarily focuses on the mental training aspect with the players at Complete Athlete.

Sam Krick
Hitting
Sam Krick played baseball through high-school and college. He spent his time playing for Upper Iowa University, Anoka Ramsey Community College and finished at South Dakota State University. During his time at Complete Athlete, Sam has helped many baseball players achieve and exceed their goals and expectations. Sam primarily focuses on helping his athletes with their hitting and fielding. Sam also focuses greatly on helping our athletes with their mental game at the plate with an emphasis on ensuring they don't get "too high" or "too low" after their on-field results. He set multiple records during his playing days. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help the athletes he trains become as successful as possible.

John Carlson
Pitching Mechanics
John grew up in Blaine and played high school baseball at Spring Lake Park High School. He was a 3-year varsity starter as a pitcher and first baseman. During his senior year, he was a captain and received all-conference recognition as a pitcher. He is now attending the University of Minnesota, working towards his bachelor’s degree in marketing and data analytics. John has been active in coaching and training baseball for years. He has done multiple years of training with youth baseball players, and is currently a coach for the Spring Lake Park VFW baseball team. He has knowledge in all areas of the game but his main focus is on pitching with the players at Complete Athlete.

Zach Dykes
Strength Coach
Zach is the strength coach & coordinator for Complete Athlete. He was not always a natural athlete and it was not until high school where he found his niche in sports. Zach started out wrestling his freshman year of high school and ended up being a 3 sports captain in Wrestling, Cross Country, and Track & Field. After graduating from Spring Lake Park High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from UMD in Exercise Science. Working with the college teams as an intern taught Zach an immense amount about training for multiple sports. <br><br> Zach has worked in the fitness industry as a gym manager, personal trainer, high school coach, and exercise specialist in the private and commercial gym setting. His true passion is coaching and training athletes in all areas of sport but especially when it comes to strength and conditioning. Zach enjoys the field of Exercise Science because it is always changing and requires constant learning to deliver the best techniques available to enhance athletic performance. When not coaching at the gym training or getting a workout in for himself, Zach is usually doing something outdoors with his dog Doug or getting caught up with the newest binge worthy tv show.

Thomas Kinsella
Hitting Development and Fielding
Thomas grew up in the North Branch area where he was a starting pitcher and shortstop for the North Branch Vikings. He began his college career at St. Cloud Technical College and transferred to Anoka Ramsey where he was a member of the All Division team. He finished his college career at the University of Minnesota Crookston and was the starting second baseman and was recently selected to the All-Decade team. After college, Thomas played in the Arizona Winter League and was invited to the South Florida Winter league and the Puerto Rico Independent Baseball league. Thomas has trained with professional coaches and high-level players and uses what he has learned from these experiences when coaching young athletes. He currently is a member of the Coon Rapids Redbirds amateur team. At Complete Athlete, Thomas specializes in fielding mechanics and hitting.

Brock Larsen
Situational Defense & Hitting Mechanics
Brock was a 4 year high school starter for Spring Lake Park High School as Catcher. He currently is undecided on where he will play college baseball this upcoming fall. This summer Brock still plays baseball with the amateur team Minneapolis Northstar's. At Complete Athlete, Brock specializes in situational defense and hitting mechanics.

Zach Voss
Catching & Hitting Development
Zach grew up in the East Bethel area and play baseball for Forest Lake High School. He was a pitcher and infielder on Forest Lake's varsity team where they won their conference and section, and appeared in the state tournament his junior year. Zach has played for amateur teams over the years such as the Eagle Lake Expos and currently plays for the East Bethel Bandits. Zach is pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Metropolitan State University. He has coached Minnesota Twins Youth Camps, with knowledge in all areas of the game. At Complete Athlete, Zach will be focusing on our Catcher Development as well as Hitting Development.

Julia Sullwold
Softball: Defense & Hitting Mechanics
Coach Sullwold graduated from Totino-Grace in 2016, she played volleyball, basketball and softball. Julia was captain her senior year in basketball and softball, and also played in the All-Star softball games in 2016. She continued playing softball at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2017-2018 where she is in the record book for stolen bases, 2017 2nd Team ICCAC All-Region, 2018 2nd Team ICCAC All-Region, 2nd Team NFCA All-Region. From 2018-2020 Sullwold played for Nothern State University in Aberdeen SD, she was NSIC All-Academic team member, on the Dean's List, and player of the week. Currently, Julia teaches Physical Education at St. Raphael's Catholic School in Crystal. "I will help develop each player to their potential"

Matty Rones
Pitching Mechanics
Matty grew up in Bethesda, MD an attended Walt Whitman high school. During his childhood, Matty played baseball and four years of high school baseball. In fall 2018, Matty moved to MN to attend and play baseball for Macalester College. After one season and three semesters, he transferred to Augsburg University and continued his college playing career. Matty is currently a senior at Augsburg and pursuing a BA in Communications. over his collegiate playing career, Matty has bolstered his role as a reliable submarine relief pitcher. Matty uses his expertise in pitching mechanics to help his athletes develop efficient and effective mechanics for their body.

Sam Knight
Catching & Hitting Development
Sam grew up in Blaine, playing high school baseball at Spring Lake Park High School. He was the starting varsity catcher before earning offers to play collegiately. Started at Northwestern and Anoka Ramsey before transferring to Arizona State. Now Sam is currently attending Colorado University pursuing a management and data analytics degree. Sam specializes in hitting, the defensive side of the game, and recruiting for Complete Athlete players

Xander Paar
Hitting and Fielding
Xander Paar comes to Complete Athlete with a wealth of knowledge in many facets of the game. He is self described as a utility player for the Center College Woodducks. Xander was a 3 year starter for the Coon Rapids High School team and recently accepted his commitment to play for Northern State this upcoming fall. Being a utility player, Xander uses all of his baseball knowledge to focus on hitting and fielding with his players at Complete Athlete.

Nolan Chandler
Hitting Development and Defense
Nolan grew up in Omaha, NE where he played at Douglas County West High school for his first two years and the last two years at Omaha Burke High school. He was a varsity starter all four years playing MIF and pitched. Nolan committed to Anoka Ramsey CC his senior year and played his freshman year of college there. Currently he is in his second year of college baseball but is currently recovering from an injury. Nolan specializes in defense and hitting.

Mike Mensing
Football Development
Mike grew up in the Blaine area, where he attended and played football for Blaine High School. After high school, Mike attended and played for St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. During and after college, Mike played semi-professionally for five seasons. Mike has played and coached quarterback for the majority of his life and he shares that wealth of knowledge with his athletes. He is currently the Wide Receivers coach at Andover High School where he is constantly learning new techniques/strategies. Mike's ability to coach confident and technically sound athletes is his strength and his focus on development is something any athlete that works with him will benefit from.

Robert Ben
Basketball: Shooting & Dribbling
Robert grew up in the Fridley area and attended Spring Lake Park High School, where he played varsity basketball all four years and still holds the rebounding record. He played collegiate basketball at both Rochester and Anoka Community Colleges and still plays in the Ultimate Hoops league to maintain his skills and will always have a love for the game!
Robert is excited to work with the youth and help them grow into the basketball athletes they strive to be. Robert will be focusing his training on shooting and dribbling.

Bertram Walker
Basketball: Dribbling, Conditioning & Shooting
Bertram grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he began his basketball journey playing at the local parks around town. He moved to Fridley, Minnesota and attended Spring Lake Park High School where he played basketball. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army and served for 6 years, where he led his platoon in physical fitness.
Bertram graduated from Winona State University and spends most of his free time playing in Men’s Basketball leagues against some of the highest competition in the state. He keeps up with fitness by attending the gym multiple times a week and training with his younger brother. Bertram will be focusing his training around dribbling, conditioning, and shooting.
